Booktales is a brand of Prayosee Digitals Private Limited (CIN U72900UP2022PTC161696). These terms apply when you buy from us. By placing an order you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy, Shipping & Returns and Cancellation & Refund Policy.
You must be 18 or older and able to form a binding contract to place an order. You can check out as a guest with an email address for your receipt, or sign in with a one-time code sent to your email or with your Google account to keep your orders and addresses in one place. Placing an order is an offer to buy; a contract is formed and your order is confirmed only once payment is successfully captured and we email you a confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order (with a full refund) if we cannot verify the payment, the address cannot be delivered to, or we suspect misuse.
We currently sell and ship within India only. We may expand to other countries in future, and will update these terms when we do.
Our books are printed on demand — each is produced specifically for your order after payment. This affects returns and cancellations (see Shipping & Returns).
You can cancel for a full refund until printing starts; after that, because the book was made for you, we cannot accept change-of-mind returns. Damaged or misprinted books are reprinted or refunded free within 7 days of delivery. Details and timelines are in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
When you personalise a book you confirm that you have the right to use the name and message you enter, and that they are not offensive or unlawful. We print them exactly as typed, so please check spelling before you pay. We may refuse to print content we consider inappropriate, with a full refund.
Reviews you submit may be published on the book page with the display name you choose. By submitting one you give us a non-exclusive licence to display it. We may remove reviews that are abusive, off-topic, or not about a genuine experience with the book.
All book content — text, illustrations, and designs — and the Booktales name and branding are our property or used under licence. Your purchase is for personal enjoyment; it does not transfer any rights to reproduce, resell, or distribute the work.
Please don't misuse the store — for example by interfering with its operation, attempting unauthorised access, or using it unlawfully.
We provide the store and books with reasonable care. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot legally be limited.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Meerut, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
